Gong's Mission Andromeda Bets Open AI Interoperability Beats Consolidated Rivals

The Development

Gong launched Mission Andromeda on February 25, its largest platform release to date, targeting every layer of the sales workflow. The centerpiece is Gong Enable—priced in the tens of dollars per seat per month—which packages an AI Call Reviewer, an AI Trainer that runs reps through simulated objection scenarios, and Initiative Tracking that links coaching programs to revenue outcomes. The launch also introduces Gong Assistant, a conversational chatbot for revenue teams, plus Account Console and Account Boards for unified customer visibility. Most strategically, Gong activated full client and server support for the Model Context Protocol, enabling live data exchange with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce, and HubSpot CRM. Gong currently serves 5,000-plus companies and reports $300 million ARR. The launch arrives as Clari-Salesloft and Highspot-Seismic mergers have reshaped its competitive landscape.

Our Take

The MCP move is the real story here, and it cuts against conventional platform logic. Most enterprise software vendors fight interoperability—Gong is weaponizing it. By letting Microsoft Copilot and Salesforce Agentforce query Gong's Revenue Graph directly, Gong is embedding itself into workflows it doesn't own, making displacement harder without winning every seat. The risk is equally clear: CPO Eilon Reshef openly called MCP 'very immature when it comes to security,' which means Gong is asking enterprise security teams to trust an open protocol while those same teams are still drafting agentic AI governance policies. Revenue operations leaders evaluating this stack need to pressure-test the data provenance controls before approving any cross-platform MCP connections. Gong's 'human operator in the loop' philosophy is also a deliberate positioning choice against autonomous agent hype—and for risk-averse enterprise buyers in 2026, that framing may close more deals than capability benchmarks.

The Exploit

Action Item

If your revenue ops team is mid-cycle evaluating Gong against Clari-Salesloft, request a live MCP security architecture review before Q2 budget lock—Gong's own CPO flagged protocol immaturity, and your security team needs documented data provenance controls in writing before any cross-platform agentic connections go live.
